Therese is a seasoned Business Coach at STEPS Bookkeeping, Payroll & HR. She is a serial entrepreneur with an executive background in HR. With over 20 years of experience, Therese has successfully owned and operated four businesses across various industries. Her coaching portfolio includes mentoring a thriving start-up, advising the president of a rapidly scaling company and coaching the president of an emerging start-up. Outside of her professional endeavors, Therese is a self-acclaimed nutrition nut, and you can often find her tending to her many gardens.
Heather Casey
Office Manager
Heather is our Office Manager at STEPS Bookkeeping, Payroll & HR. With over 20 years of operational experience, she's the expert who keeps us on track and juggles those numbers like a pro. Heather's also a master at scheduling, organizing and running a tight ship and is invaluable to our bookkeeping and operations teams. When she's not managing the office, you can find her enjoying the great outdoors with her family.
Aline Scott
Bookkeeper
Aline is a Senior Bookkeeper at STEPS Bookkeeping, Payroll & HR. With over 20 years of bookkeeping experience, she has become a dedicated and meticulous bookkeeper. She studied bookkeeping at Mohawk College. Aline is equipped in all aspects of bookkeeping but specifically enjoys reconciliations. Known for her attention to detail and commitment to excellence, Aline builds lasting relationships with clients by understanding their unique needs. When she’s not crunching numbers, Aline enjoys reading, camping and playing with her grandchildren.
Carol Wilks
Business Coach
Carol is a Business Coach at STEPS Bookkeeping, Payroll & HR. She has spent the majority of her career in leadership positions in retail, hospitality and financial services. She has assisted small business owners in developing their business plans, building an understanding of business requirements, facilitating difficult conversations, and a multitude of other business requirements. Carol likes to use her muscle on the personal side as well, competing in powerlifting competitions, with a goal of representing Canada in Master 3. Opposition.
Jennifer Lawrence
Certified Payroll Specialist
Jennifer is a Payroll Specialist with STEPS Bookkeeping, Payroll & HR. She did her studies through Fanshawe College and obtained a Finance diploma, later branching out and obtaining her payroll and HR designations. She has over 10 years of experience along with implementation of new payroll systems. Jennifer has experience with ADP, Ceridian, Pay works and full cycle payroll with Sage 300 ERP. Her interests include puzzles, dancing and spending time with her friends and family.
Taylor Munroe
Bookeeper
Taylor is a Senior Bookkeeper at STEPS Bookkeeping, Payroll & HR. With nearly 5 years of experience, Taylor excels in managing client accounts and ensuring accurate financial records. His expertise in bookkeeping and financial reporting is complemented by his skills in business development, client meetings, and onboarding. Taylor's dedication to fostering strong client relationships makes him an invaluable asset to our team. Outside of work, he enjoys camping adventures, baseball, and spending time outdoors with his two beautiful daughters.
Emily Mason
Administrative Assistant
Emily is our Administrative Assistant at STEPS Bookkeeping, Payroll & HR. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and English Literature from Western University. Emily manages the company’s blog and various social media accounts. Her responsibilities include writing blog posts and taking promotional photos around the office. When she is not at work, you can often find Emily reading on the couch with one of her cats not too far away.
